My favorite bird is also the State bird.
The mockingbird is pretty with a very long tail,
and mostly grey feathering, with white stripes on
it’s wings.
A regular sits on the peak of the neighbors roof
and sings it’s heart out each morning and again
at evening.
It’s loud enough for me to hear well enough and enjoy.
