Oh Caleb! ROFL
Many of you know about my service dog Caleb. Monday’s are the toughest when I haven’t done anything all weekend; his focus is diminished.
But today we had to go to the bank early and he was a gem. As I was sitting and working with a bank officer, he laid at my left side, just like he should. I heard someone say something and at the same time Caleb sprang to his feet. I looked around and saw a man with a plateful of cookies…and realized he has asked, “Would you like a cookie?” Well, no self respecting dog is going to refuse that offer!  The bank employees were laughing before I realized the whole picture, then I laughed as well. But no, while Caleb does know the word cookie, those aren’t the kind he gets. lol
Later in the day I had physical therapy. We had just backed into a spot for handicapped and exited the car when he began to go, as I call it, “ape.”  I looked up and there, coming down through the parking lot were 3 people rolling a Christmas tree. Caleb was barking a funny “I’m not sure what this is” bark…and the people were a bit miffed but I just smiled. Hey, the dog saw a Christmas tree with wheels and 6 legs coming at him, why shouldn’t he bark?
